Trivium Trivium lead singer Matt Heafy has every right to feel sheepish, really. When 'The Crusade' came out in 2006, it was their first to include sung vocals rather than the screaming that featured on their first two albums, and Heafy insisted that he was never going back. "I said in some press, 'I will never scream again, ever'," he laughs in agreement from his house in Florida, where the band are enjoying a short break before they embark on their third Australian tour.
| Hudson Mohawke Polyfolk Dance Warp/ Inertia Hudson Mohawke is a sign of things to come. This 22-year old from Glasgow is without doubt the breath of fresh air that electronic music has been waiting for. And I say that using a loose generalisation because Mohawkes music is difficult to define. Due to his enormous success with the Scottish ITF and DMC championships (at the tender age of fourteen), his music has the core sensibilities of hip-hop, but adulterates this openly with electronica, RnB, pop and rave. It is this genre-defying quality that separates and defines Mohawke as an artist from those around him. | |
