Baterz

Better known as Baterz, Barnaby Charles Ward was to become one of Adelaide music's most likable and endearing characters. Moving here in 1989 from Canberra with members of his band, the infamous The Bedridden, Baterz endured several line up changes and a successful solo stint right up until his death in July 2002.

This Is It and I Am It and You Are It and So Is That and He Is It and She Is It and It Is It and That Is That
Kill Rock Stars/ Mistletone

Marnie Stern, in case it wasn't already obvious from the album title, approaches things a little differently. It also meant years set aside that other musicians might have spent on the road, or in the studio: she was over 30 when she released her debut a couple of years back. Oh, and she quotes 20th century British philosopher Alan Ward for an album title. Apparently she didn't realise the quote was quite so long.
