Unwritten Law

Unwritten Law lead singer Scott Russo (or Scotty as all his drooling female fans tend to call him) is on the verge of another Australian tour, one that will take in the standard capital cities along with some very interesting detours to Jindabyne and Hotham, though he has no idea where either place is. Fortunately, he's pleasantly surprised when he finds out that the band will get to see some snow in Australia. While none of them are dedicated to snow sports their backgrounds in skating and surfing give them an affinity for snowboarding.

Charlemagne Palestine
From Etudes To Cataclysms For The Doppio Borgato
Sub Rosa/ Fuse

Charlemagne Palestine is a fascinating artist whose compositions many people will never even get to hear. His main instrument is the piano and for forty years he has explored its sonic capabilities with a relentless purpose. Though Palestine is a contemporary of the New York Minimalists, the composer has never referred to, or thought of his music as 'minimal'. In fact, many of his pieces, beginning with his breakthrough work 'Strumming Music' (1974) are so vast and visceral that they have been instead described as 'maximal'. In any case, Palestine's distinctive piano style, which features rapidly repeated clusters and sustained drones, and indeed his vocal-based pieces and accompanying stuffed toys, pipes and cognacs, make him an intriguing and lovable character, an Arlecchino of the piano.
