Read the influences of any decent rock band and you'll find mention of MC5. They were sixties revolutionaries, joining English teacher-turned-manager John Sinclair's White Panther Party, espousing freedom and rebellion, saying "money sucks, leaders suck, school sucks."

In their time, they were the heaviest band around. They paid the price of their anti-authority stance with jail-terms, drug addictions, bankruptcy and early deaths. The three surviving members are touring as DKT/MC5...
