Nik Coppin
Loquacious
The Tuxedo Cat
Until Sat 21 March
Nik Coppin loves the word loquacious. Why? Because it's posh and it's seems like a good conversation starter, and sounds like a good name for a show of this nature. So after looking it up in his dictionary, a concise one at that, Coppin is now here to simply talk bollocks.
What other reason does one need to do a show? And Nik loves to talk, as long as the topic involves all things superheroes and football (of the beloved soccer variety, that is). 'Loquacious' is an hour of pleasantly exchanged banter that, other than the aforementioned subject matter which is not necessarily excluded alongside everything else, covers such wide ranging topics as foolproof socks to shark attacks and, unless you're an elitist Essendon Football Club member (yes he does also like Aussie Rules, though one does suspect only out of sheer necessity) is largely inoffensive.
Or unless you the audience member wants to make something of it, and that's when you may see a glimpse of the working class North Londoner in him. However, despite his imposing size Coppin is really just a big 'ol softy, and with God (aka - Google) by his side, it's best you check your knives at the door and just sit back, relax and enjoy some good 'ol friendly neighbourhood chit-chat.
