7 Things To Do In Adelaide This Week
1.
Make your way to Hill Smith Gallery on Pirie Street for the abstract and vibrant artworks from Melinda Brooke, on display now.
2.
Enigmatic indigenous performer Jimmy Little will play at Norwood Hotel on Wed 29 Oct. Yes, that's tonight! Better free up your diary and ACT QUICKLY!
3.
Show your support for the latest group of TAFE SA graduates as they showcase their work in 'Noisy Eyes' at the Adelaide Centre For The Arts until Thu 6 Nov.
4.
Put on your tight stonewash and head out for an evening of tragic 80's nostalgia at the Norwood Hotel on Thu 30 Oct, or the Clarendon Inn on Fri 31 Oct. Let's see if someone can pull of an Angela Davis style afro for this one.
5.
There's more art to be found at the Art Gallery of SA (where else?!) with 'Multiplicity: Prints and Multiples' currently on display, hot from the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. Very east coast.
6.
Best not to miss the return Adelaide season of Leigh Warren Dance performance of 'Petroglyphs - Signs Of Life' for a very limited season from Thurs 30 Oct at Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute on Grenfell Street.
7.
Coming up at The Playhouse from Fri 31 Oct is the latest production from State Theatre, who are having a wonderful season with their very strong programming and excellent performances. The forthcoming production is 'The Cripple Of Inishmaan' an exuberant script by Martin McDonagh turned into a rambunctious performance by Artistic Director Adam Cook, with the cast of Don Barker, Paul Blackwell, Luke Clayson, Patrick Graham, Jamie Harding, Carmel Johnson, Cat Lever, Jacqy Phillips and Bridget Walters.
