Sneaky Sound System
2
Whack
In 2006 a Sydney based six piece band called Sneaky Sound System released a self-titled, self-produced album that, unbeknownst to anyone, would eventually earn them a place on the Antipodean live earth and two ARIAs. But after such a successful start there was one question left lingering in people's minds - "is the next album going to be as good?"
The answer to this was released in 2008 in the form of '2', starting off with a bang thanks to Kansas City to get people in the mood and to get them moving. It's Not My Problem shows a new side to Sneaky Sound System by giving a much more mellow sound. Although they have developed a lot, they are stuck in the electronic/ pop style that they are so fond of, but Connie Mitchell A.K.A. Miss Connie gives a memorable performance in '2' that is surely not going to be matched anytime in the near future while Black Angus and MC Double D both give Sneaky Sound System the extra edge that helps to complete the band's unique sound.
This album has many songs with the potential to give the band an even bigger trophy cabinet then they have already. Remember the names 16 and Lost In The Future because soon enough they are going to be the only thing you hear as '2' takes over Australia. With their freelance attitude and strong electronic retro style, any one who buys '2' will be sitting, hoping and waiting for the next release from Sneaky Sound System. Even after hearing just one track you will be hooked, so be careful because it's addictive.
