Prize Frenzy™

Frenzor™ has always been a little miffed that show-offs like The Easter Bunny get so much attention for offering small perishable gifts once a year when he's busy slaving away to bring quality prizes to the good folk of Adelaide all year round. In fact, more than a little miffed, as anyone who's been near his sulphurous cave lately can attest, so he's pulled out all the stops this fortnight in an effort to be recognised once and for all as the premier pagan gift giver in the land. Should you wish to help him in his task, simply call 8231 0881 at 1pm on Fri 4 April and pick a prize.

1. Horsell Common were on the cover of last edition, their first ever cover as Frenzor™ understands it, and because they were so thrilled with the design, they've offered 3 double passes to their show at Fowler's Live on Fri 4 April.

2. The movie 'Juno' captured plenty of hearts during its cinematic release, and the CD, which is reviewed in this very edition, has plenty of charm as well. Thanks to Warner, there are 5 copies of it to give away.

3. If you're looking for energy in a band, then it's hard to go past Flogging Molly, and even though St. Patrick's Day is but a hazy memory now, they're soldiering on and bringing cheer to crowds around the world nonetheless. That's why you will find them at Live On Light Square on Wed 9 Mar, and why they've made two double passes available to that show.

4. Peter Combe is filming his show at Jive on Sun 6 Apr for a live DVD, and with plenty of hometown love, it's sure to give the Hilltop Hoods' latest DVD a run for its money in terms of crowd energy. And because, like the fearsome fire-breathing beast Frenzor™, Mr. Combe lives to give, he's made two double passes to the show available for lucky callers.

5. Peter Strelan thinks that Nick Cave's latest album, 'Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!' ranks among his finest albums ever, bringing together all the elements that have made Mr. Cave one of Frenzor's™ favourite artists, and thanks to EMI there are three copies of the album to give away.

6. Swedish punks Millencolin love Australian audiences and Australian beer - just look in this edition at the interview Will Oakeshott conducted with lead singer Nikola Sarcevic if you want confirmation. Sarcevic also talks about the band's new album, 'Machine 15', but he forgot to mention that there are two copies of that very album to give away.

7. OneRepublic have just played their first Adelaide gig, supporting Maroon 5, and they're so convinced that they've managed to make a swag of new Adelaide fans that the've made three copies of their debut album, 'Dreaming Out Loud', available for dB readers.

Online Frenzy™

American politico-punks Anti-Flag's new album, 'Bright Lights Of America', is out now and it's been getting a few spins here at dB Central, but not everyone is cooped in a stuffy office all day, and if you'd prefer to show your appreciation of the band out of doors, then this is the perfect prize. Thanks to The Red Label, we have a skate deck commemorating the release signed by the band, and if you'd like to make it (or one of the five runner-up prizes of the album) yours, just check the online edition at dbmagazine.com.au to find out how.

Whish classic album cover famously featured an altered American flag, with suns (replacing the traditional stars) set against a black background?
