Prize Frenzy™

And so it was, that after five editions in five weeks, Frenzor™ awoke from his slumber to find the cupboard almost bare. Precious few prizes remain to give away, but much like the proverbial show, the Prize Frenzy must go on, so Frenzor™ has cast his beady eye over the territories he fills with terror and scoured them for the last few precious gifts to give away. Because 'Good' Friday falls on the usual day of Frenzy, this week it is moved to Thursday, but all the other rules are the same - call 8231 0881 at 1pm on Thursday 13 Mar if you see something that strikes your fancy.

1. Cat Power charmed the socks off the crowd who saw her at The Gov last week, and as well as enjoying that show, Narelle Walker thinks her latest CD, 'Jukebox' isn't half bad. The kind folks at Remote Control agree, and have provided us with two copies for lucky readers.

2. Few conflicts have inspired so many epics as the American Civil War, and with over 20 hours of footage, the 'North And South Complete Collection' certainly counts as an epic in Frenzor's™ book. Featuring David Carradine, Patrick Swayze, Johnny Cash and Olivia de Havilland among many others, there are three copies of this hefty 8-DVD set to give away.

3.It's not long before Bullet For My Valentine come to Adelaide - less than two months to be precise. Just enough time to learn their latest album, 'Scream Aim Fire', in its entirety and it is for this purpose that the band has express posted five copies of the album for Frenzor™ to distribute to anyone intending to see the show.

4. 'Death Defying Acts' has plenty going for it, what with Guy Pearce playing Harry Houdini, Catherine Zeta-Jones' psychic trying to trick him out of his money and plenty of twists to keep the suspense up. Thanks to Communikate, there are ten in-season double passes to the movie to give away.

5. So you read Ben Ford-Smith's interview with neo-soul/ funk band Lowrider in this issue and you thought to yourself, 'that sounds mighty interesting'. Well, after a mild chastising for waiting this long to learn about the band's show at The Gov on Sat 29 Mar with rising Gold Coast live hip-hop band The Winnie Coopers, Frenzor™ can offer you one of three double passes to get your groove on.

6. Cass McCombs new album 'Dropping The Writ' is a real grab bag, mixing folksy touches with droning indie touchstones and pop melodies. More importantly though, it's not half bad, as you'll find out if you pick up one of the three copies that Domino have kindly provided.

Online Frenzy™
