Prize Frenzy™

As this Indian Summer has Adelaide sweltering, Frenzor's™ beginning to show a little hitherto unexpected cunning. While the assumption was that he always gave things away just because he could, it's lately become apparent that there's method to his Frenzy. So if you call 8231 0881 at 1pm on Friday 14 Mar, you'll be able to pick up a selection of the hottest CDs and tickets in town, and help Frenzor™ clean out enough space in his lair to re-install the world's largest air-conditioner, even if it is only for a week or so.

1. With an intro like that, it's only appropriate that the first tickets on offer are five double passes to Scorcherfest, taking place at Flinder's Uni on Sun 16 Mar. It's lucky it's on the final day of The Fringe, because the 57 bands over 4 stages spanning every genre known to mankind are sure to tire out even the most energetic music fan, and a bit of rest afterwards will be most appropriate.

2. They turned heads at the Fuse Festival ignition showcase, and Tin Alley prove there's more to them than just a live show with their debut album 'Every Turn'. Showcasing their harmonic indie rock, there are copies of the release to give away to the first five callers.

3. Lightspeed Champion was the name of the fictional cartoon character created by Devonte Hynes to alleviate his boredom while he was in school, but there's no need for future generations to do the same, because he's created 'Falling Off The Lavender Bridge' to amuse them. And you, too, should you so choose.

4. Juke Baritone & The Swamp Dogs have a reputation for destroying venues as regularly as they do brain cells, but there's nothing stupid about their New Orleans-inspired swamp rock madness. There are three passes to give away to their show on Friday 14 Mar at The Garden Of Unearthly Delights' Bosco Theatre.

5. Domino records have a swag of new releases that their mighty chuffed about at the moment, not least among them UK's These New Puritans' eclectic punk-inspired rock as showcased on 'Beat Pyramid', which the fine folk at Domino have kindly provided us with five copies of.

Simple Plan are pretty proud of their latest album, which they've named after themselves (though they've opted for the conventional self-titled 'Simple Plan' rather than 'Simple Plan Jr.', much to Frenzor's™ chagrin) and they've made five copies of the limited edition version available. Head to dbmagazine.com.au to find out how you could become the proud owner of one.

Which actor, formerly married to Angelina Jolie, appeared in the movie 'A Simple Plan'.
