Prize Frenzy™!
Summer's almost upon us, and Frenzor(tm) never got around to that Spring Clean, so it's time to call in all those favours and rope everyone in for a working bee. To help clean out Frenzor's(tm) cupboards and take home a souvenir before summer starts, all you need to do is call 8231 0881 at 1pm on Friday November 18 and tell us what yer fancy.
Please note: If you won a prize last issue, you are ineligible for Prize Frenzy this issue. Try again next time!
1. Faker launch their new album on Sat Nov 17 and as it so happens, they'll be in Adelaide on that very day so you can be sure that they'll be in a partying mood when they play at the Night Train Entertainment Complex. Alistair Wallis spoke to guitarist Stefan Gregory and thanks to the lovely folk at EMI, we have a very generous five copies of their new single This Heart Attack, and five double passes to the show.
2. Alistair Wallis was almost as busy as Frenzor(tm) in cleaning mode, talking to Delta Goodrem about her new album as well, and he's got a lovely picture to prove it. Not everyone can meet Australia's queen of pop, though, so perhaps you'd like a copy of her latest CD- Sony/BMG have slung us four copies, and one of them could be yours.
3.Alexis Buxton-Collins enjoyed Alela Diane's new CD quite a lot, thankyou very much. In fact, he liked it so much that he thinks you will to if you give it a listen, and thanks to Inertia Records, five readers will get a chance to do exactly that.
4. Gyroscope are an unstoppable force, and if you take Matt Vesley's word for it (and why wouldn't you, Frenzor(tm) asks?), one of Australia's best live bands- he certainly enjoyed their recent live show and we have 3 copies of their latest single Snakeskin thanks to the fine folk at Warner Music.
5. Former Leonardo's Bride Frontwoman Abby Dobson had plenty to say to Suzi Gunn when they spoke, but if you'd like to hear what she sounds like when she's singing, we have three double passes to her show at The Gov on Sun Nov 18 thanks to Original Matters.
6. It wouldn't be a spring clean without a grab bag of assorted goodies, and thanks to Remote Control records we have some colourful poster packs that are just begging for a bedroom wall to be blu-tacked onto.
7. Perry Farrell's not the kind of man who likes to be ignored, and Frenzor(tm) knows this better than most, having seen him backstage at Lollapalooza a number of years ago. Andy Brewer reviews his Satellite Party album in this issue and we have 5 copies to give away, thanks to Sony/BMG.
8. Bumblebeez have a pretty interesting back story, as well as a popular CD in 'Prince Umberto And The Sister Of Ill'. Read Alistair Wallis' thoughts in the CD review pages, and help Frenzor(tm) by grabbing one of the three copies that Modular have kindly donated.
