Prize Frenzy™!
There's no business like show business, and now that the ARIA Awards are out of the way and the weather has turned sour and the cricket season has begun in earnest there's little enough reason for the great God of Prizes, Frenzor(tm) to be anything other than bad tempered. If you think you can get your hands on the loot, call 8231 0881 at 1pm on Fri 2 Nov and nominate your prize.
If you won last issue, you're ineligible to win this week, so take a short break and let someone else try their luck.
1. Peter Combe's on a national tour... which is about to hit Adelaide. He'll be playing The Gov on Sun 11 Nov, performing a night-time adult show and also a matinee show for children and families. Thanks to Anita at Flash In The Can Publicity we've got some double passes and a triple CD album pack; all you have to do is nominate which of those performances you'd like to attend. Easy, eh?
2. Bad Religion and Strung Out and MYC play Thebarton Theatre on Sat 10 Nov (read the Strung Out interview in this issue), and we have three double passes to the gig, thanks to Blue Murder.
3. The Scare play Enigma on Sat 3 Nov with Regular John and their album 'Chivalry' is out now, so thanks to Southbeat and Select Music we've got copies of The Scare CD and a couple of double passes for the gig. Which do you want?
4. New Music Editor Alexis Buxton-Collins has a chat with Butterfingers prior to their gig on Sat 3 Nov at Night Train, and thanks to Custom Made we have three doubles for that show. Neat.
5. It's a pretty big bill at Fowler's Live on Wed 7 Nov - Black Dahlia Murder (USA), Cephalic Carnage (USA), Five Star Prison Cell, and The Rivalry, in an All Ages show. That's big news! And thanks to Soundworks we have a rather special offer - a double pass to the gig. One only pair of tickets that is, mind.
6. We have a half dozen copies of the very cool new Gyroscope single Snakeskin thanks to the exceedingly good people at Warners Music. Matt Vesely gets the lowdown from bassist Brad Campbell in this issue.
7. The new Soft Tigers album is 'Gospel Ambitions', and with thanks to Shiny people you can be the owner of that very album. Cheers.
8. Goodness golly, we have an amazingly generous five double passes to give away to Clare Bowditch' gig at Fowler's Live on Sat 10 Nov, thanks to Lunatic Entertainment. Read the story in this magazine; be there!
9. If you love The Dardanelles then you need to know we have two double passes to their show at Jive on Sat 3 Nov, and we'll back it up with a copy of their 'Mirror Mirror' CD, thanks to the glisteningly good people at Shiny Records.

The Mess Hall newie is 'Devils Elbow', and thanks to Ivy League and Liberation Records you can own a copy. All you have to tell us is 'What was the title of their debut album?'
