Kisschasy
Last time Melbourne's Kisschasy were in town, they ripped up Fowler's Live with an impromptu MC Hammer-style version of their acoustic hit The Shake, as equipment and professionalism, respectively, crumbled all around them. I remind affable frontman Darren Cordeux of said events, and he recalls them with a chuckle. "That was cool. Those shows, when shit goes wrong, you might as well turn it into a party."

Kate Miller-Heidke
Little Eve
Sony BMG
Kate Miller-Heidke first captivated me during last year's spell with her brilliant cover version of Nick Cave's Little Water Song from the 'Like A Version 2' record and I have since been eager to hear more from this tiny Brisbane diamond. Recent single Words set an interesting precedent for her debut, considering her previous efforts in the 'gentle pretty girl music' genre. Words is a dramatic, infectious and forceful piano-looped tune which introduces the quirkiness that is Kate Miller-Heidke.
