Prize Frenzy™!
It's been a cracker of a month, June has, with tonnes of live shows and it doesn't appear to be letting up any time soon. FrenzetteTM has pulled together some mighty fine freebies this issue, so you have no excuse but to escape the boredom of winter! 1. Two decades on and the original line-up of Dinosaur Jr has reunited - Scott Berry gets all the goss from drummer Murph about the band's bitter break-up and recent reformation. They're set to play The Gov on Fri 13 July to promote their new album 'Beyond', so don't miss your chance to see these three men on stage together again 'cos it could very well be your last! We have two double passes to the show and two copies of the album to give away thanks to Liberation and Kylie Whyte Publicity.
2. Powderfinger is set to play Adelaide again later in the year, this time with the mighty Silverchair. To tide you over til then, go and grab their latest album 'Dream Days At The Hotel Existence' which Peter Strelan thinks is quite a good listen. 3. With new album 'Three Boxes' in his back pocket, Carus is hitting the road with his band the True Believers, and is set to rock The Gov on Fri 6 July. 4. Locals No Through Road are set to wreak havoc on Adelaide on their 'Crush Your Town' tour supporting their latest release 'Too Much Or Not Enough' - you can read all about it in Blake Lewis's interview with frontman Matt Banham. 6. Psychobilly legends, Tiger Army, have just dropped their self-titled, fourth full-length, which is sure to please eagerly waiting fans (and has been on high rotation in the dB office). 7. Fresh from touring the globe with the Dresden Dolls, The Red Paintings are out on their Animal Rebellion tour to support their new EP 'Feed The Wolf'. They're playing the Electric Light Hotel on Sat 7 July (18+) and then an all-ages show Sun 8 July at 5pm. 10. Remember sitting up in the wee hours of the morning watching Rage? Well, now you can relive those moments with the 20th anniversary DVD '20 Years Of Rage'.
