Prize Frenzy™!

Oops! In our extremely tired state of working a public holiday we forgot to put Prize Frenzy in! How rude! It's still running as usual though, so don't forget to call on Thursday or Friday, or email for the Online Frenzy, depending on what you're after. I am sure we will remember to print it next time...

Oh, the joys of a lazy long weekend... FrenzetteTM hopes you all enjoyed your extra day of bliss and are relaxed, rested and ready to enjoy all the glorious things on offer this issue. You see, FrenzetteTM spent her long weekend fossicking and gathering until she had the perfect assortment of treats for dB's favourite readers. To have a taste, all you have to do is call 8231 0881 and reveal your demise. But listen carefully, dear ones, because you have to call on Thursday for the first two prizes. Yes, you read right, Thursday. That's 14 June at 1pm. The rest of the prizes are as usual, at 1pm on Friday 15 June.

1. Now don't forget, you have to call on Thursday for this one, right? Brian O'Neill chatted to Brisbane's Intercooler about the touring life, and we have two double passes to their Adelaide show on Thurs 14 June at the Crown & Anchor Hotel to hand over, thanks to Shiny Entertainment.

2. Against Me! are on the cover (you can read Sam Vinall's interview with bassist Andrew Seward in this issue), and they're bringing their explosive live act to Adelaide yet again. Thanks to the good folk at Resist, we have two double passes to this sure-to-be-remembered show on Thurs 14 June at Fowler's Live with The Draft (all ages). Remember, call on Thursday for this or you shall miss out!

3. Steve Jones chats to drummer/vocalist Sean Kemp and guitarist Craig Lewis from local act Booster this issue, and we have one double pass to their album launch on Sat 23 June at Enigma Bar. We also have two copies of the album in question 'The Real Deal' to hand over, thanks to Booster.

4. Blueline Medic are riding on the success of their latest release '42:19' and recently graced the Adelaide stage. Sam Vinall chats to bassist Dave Snow this issue and we have two copies of the CD to give away, thanks to Casadeldisco and Staple.

5. Following up the success of their second album 'Perfect Distraction', Something With Numbers are hitting our shores, playing Fri 22 June at Fowler's Live and Sat 23 June at Loxton Hotel - see them on the cover and read all about what they've been up to in Will Oakeshott's interview. We have three double passes to the Fowler's Live show thanks to Southbeat Entertainment, and we also have three copies of the CD to give away thanks to Shiny Entertainment and Below Par Records.

6. The Beautiful Girls are back in the game with their new release 'Ziggurats', and Jess Law thinks it's definitely one to add to your 'Girls collection. Thanks to Die!Boredom Records, we have three copies to give away.

7. The Vasco Era are touring the nation following the release of, with what is possibly the best album title ever, 'Oh We Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside', out now on Universal. To see what these boys do best, you'll have to hop along to their show on Sat 23 June at The Gov. Lucky for you, we have three double passes to give away thanks to Riothouse Publicity.

8. Psychobilly band Nekromantix is bringing their relentless live show to Adelaide on the back of their latest album 'Life Is A Grave & I Dig It!!!'. After you've read Mat Wood's interview with Kim Nekroman himself, you can have your chance at winning a double pass to the show on Wed 27 June at Enigma. We have two to give away, thanks to Resist.

9. Narelle Walker spoke to the lovely Kate Miller-Heidke about her latest success and rising fame. The lady herself is in Adelaide this Thursday as support for Evermore and won't return until early July for her own show. To tide you over til then, we have five copies of her album 'Little Eve', due for release this very week, to put in your hot little hands thanks to our friends at SonyBMG.

10. Chris Cornell (of Soundgarden and Audioslave fame) has released his solo work 'Carry On', and Peter Strelan gives his opinion in the CD review pages. Decide for yourself - we have three copies of the CD to hand over thanks to the good folk at Universal.
