Prize Frenzy™!

Well, looky what we have here... tonnes of goodies for all you prize hungry thieves! There are lots of passes to shows - the massive Carnival for one - as well as bundles of the latest CD releases to be enjoyed. Do remember though dear ones, Frenzette-TM likes to give everyone a chance at taking home something from her bag of treasures, so that means only one prize each. So play fair and call 8231 0881 at 1pm on Friday 1 June and select your favourite from the following:

1. The Carnival is coming to town! Jet, Eskimo Joe and Little Birdy are set to rock Adelaide on the first 'Carnival Comes To Town' all-ages show on Saturday 9 June at the Entertainment Centre. In our last issue, Suzi Gunn spoke to Jet. In this issue Alistair Wallis chats to the Eskies about their new album and tour, and Jess Moschetti finds out what Little Birdy have been up to since 'Hollywood'. We have three double passes to the show to hand over, thanks to Grand and Lafayette Publicity.

2. Local boys The Borderland are launching their new EP 'Your Heart Is My Captive' on Saturday 2 June at Adelaide Uni Bar with This Collision and New Season Black. We have a double pass to give away to one lucky winner - and two other lucky buggers can also win a copy of the CD. You can read all about what The Borderland have been up to in their chat with Matt Vesley.

3. Scott Berry thought Irish lads The Frames' latest release 'The Cost' was rather inspiring - read all about it in our CD review pages. To find out for yourself, you better call quick cos we only have four copies to give away thanks to EMI.

4. 'Death Of A President', shown during the Adelaide Film Festival, has now been released on DVD and in this issue is reviewed by our very own Alex Wheaton. The controversial mocumentary is also being screened at the Palace Nova Eastend Cinemas, and we have five in-season double passes to give away, valid from Thurs 31 May, thanks to Neil Ward Publicity and the Palace Nova.

5. Darkest Hour are hitting Australia to promote their upcoming album 'Deliver Us', which you can read all about in their interview with Mike Cross. We have two double passes to give away to their show on Thursday 7 June at Fowler's Live, thanks to Staple.

6. Icelandic songstress Bjork has done it again with her latest release 'Volta' and Brian O'Neill thinks highly of its fresh and exciting mix of songs. We have four copies to hand over thanks to the lovely people at Universal - you know what to do.

7. Our favourite locals The Audreys are playing in their hometown on Saturday 16 June at The Gov, and we have five double passes to the show, thanks to Anouk Van Meeuwen Publicity. You can learn what The Audreys have been up to since their 'Between Us And Last Night' debut release in Steve Jones' friendly chat with the lovely Taasha Coates.

8. Will Oakeshott caught up with Norma Jean's drummer about their crazy live shows and onstage antics. So look out Adelaide - Norma Jean play at The Gov on Monday 11 June with Every Time I Die and A Secret Death (all ages). We have two double passes to the show, thanks to Blue Murder.

9. Rockers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have hit the spot with their latest release 'Baby 81'. Blake Lewis gives us his thoughts in the review pages and, thanks to SonyBMG, we have four copies to give away.
