Frehdi and Tim Eee
Hiding The Elephant
Rhino Room
Sat 17 March
until Sun 31 March

'Hiding The Elephant' may follow the basic formula of two clowns on stage performing elementary, but no less baffling are the magic tricks that follow a simple storyline loosely based around a lost elephant. It's all aimed at the littlies; but there's lots of interactive fun to be enjoyed by the mums and dads as well.

Frehdi and Tim Eee razzle up much of the excitement by the usual method of mingling with the crowd, singing and inciting animal noises, asking questions and brushing dandruff off a few people's heads into a soap powder box so they could do their washing; and, of course it wouldn't be a show about elephants without the obligatory poo joke or three.

Then there were the occasional times where we were encouraged to stand up and shake our hands about and dance; a ploy that the clowns cleverly targeted mostly towards the 'big kids' knowing that their younger fans were already on their side. Utilising ropes, drinking straws and sauce bottles as part of their magic canon, I have to admit that my favourite trick was the one where they told a story about a clown and an elephant with the help of three pint-sized volunteers... Okay, as it turned out it was more of a con than magic but I'll guarantee you wont see it coming. Gotta love a good pachyderm prank, 'eh!
