Our town is known for its big buds, but this one is coming all the way from the UK. Big Bud has been a stalwart on the d'n'b scene since the early '90s and marks his first trip to Adelaide with a show for Deepa at Earth on Sat 31 March. Expect deep, exciting and smooth sounds from this master of music!
After Mad Professor graced us with a dub fest at Womad, the next biggest legend in dub reggae music is set to hit town! Presented by the East Coast Blues Festival, Lee 'Scratch' Perry and his band make their way from Kingston, via Switzerland, to Adelaide for one show only at Fowler's Live on Sun 1 April.
Lastly, just a heads up for the V Mini Festival - we get two fabulous nights of music, with Tue 3 April featuring The Pixies, Jarvis Cocker and Phoenix and, although it's not a hundred percent confirmed for Adelaide, Beck has been added to the line-up, so hopefully he'll be here too! On Wed 4 April the night is devoted to dance, so we get The Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Gnarls Barkley and The Rapture. Both nights will be held at Memorial Drive and remember, whilst it might seem pricey these acts rarely tour and the V Festival donates $1 from the purchase of every ticket to Virgin Unite, the charitable arm of the Virgin Group, so you're doing it for a good cause!
