Kissy Kissy
The Pants
The Black Lung Theatre
Fri 9 March
Until Fri 16 March

Let's get kissed!!!

The Pants are exposing it all, at least when it comes to love and relationships. From the sweet beginning to detestable end and all performed through the mixed tape. When Sarah-Jane (performed by Sarah-Jane St Clair) met Mark (Mark Winter) it was all Kissy Kissy and when Mark met Sarah-Jane it was A Whole Lotta Love. They expose all, including those moments you never share, like smelling the shirt he left on your floor that first time, through to that question how many people have you slept with before me?

The design is also exposed, with set, lights and sound all controlled on stage by the performers. This gives a whole episodic feel to the performance, like when you're listening to the mixed tape on the edge of your bed waiting to find out what the next song he's given you is. It all fits together sweetly inside the old brick walls of the Black Lung Theatre.

Anyone who's ever received a mixed tape from their lover will love what the Pants have done with this tape. But be warned, it can get close to the bone if your special song comes on. This performance from the young company is a must see. Especially for the incredible rendition of a classic bangles track!
