Like many people, I've lived life considering Albuquerque the place Bugs Bunny always seemed to forget to take a left turn. Rennie and Brett Sparks, the husband and wife who play as The Handsome Family, considered Albuquerque a fine place to live, abandoning Chicago to move there. And somewhere in Albuquerque, Rennie Sparks is in a potentially sticky situation.

I first saw Adelaide's Stolen Youth at their first ever big support slot during a Good Riddance tour and, while I just thought to myself quietly, 'Okay, another fast punk band with a bad mix and average songs', my mates disagreed. However, as time passed I got the opportunity to see them quite a lot and each time I picked up on something new that was hidden in their songs and which impressed me.
