Dance News.

I love this time of the year - the days are sunnier for longer, the shorts are shorter, tops are tighter and everyone is winding down in time for the usual Christmas break. But there are some people who don't wind down, who, in fact, get set to do their hardest work, such as the promoters, club owners and DJs who absolutely rock! This year's Enchanted is looking to be one of the biggest and most unusual in recent memory and I'll be chatting with head honcho MPK in the next few weeks to get the low down!

MTME Productions with Eclipse Touring also presents Eternal Energy 4, featuring head honcho of vicious circle recordings - and the brains behind many of hard dance's greatest tracks - Paul Glazby. On Fri 10 November get set to join Adelaide's finest and one of our favourites at Earth. Also meet Paul Glazby and get all vicious circle vinyl/CDs, merchandise and posters personally signed at MTME Records (next to Earth) from 9 pm!

Toffee and Skippy will be club-hopping as they're also playing at the Jam at Mojo on Fri 10 November alongside DJs Grif, Crispen and Funky J. Good to see these young guys getting out there and playing music that's a little different from most.

Vibe and R/evolution join forces to present the first lady of drum and bass, DJ Storm, on Fri 10 November at the Gateway. A key player in Goldie's Metalheadz label since its inception, Storm is an Adelaide favourite and she's sure to rock us alongside Mark 7, Static, Grimey, Switch, Roost, Leezee, Rummage, IQ, Del, Havok, Moment, Nottes and DT3, as well as MCs G-Swift and Stryke.

King Unique equals 'dirty house' and that's all you really need to know about these guys. The two halves of King Unique, Matt Roberts and Matt Thomas, are two studio junkies with a taste for bulldozer beats and sick synthesizers. Over the last five years their records, remixes and re-edits have been championed by everyone from Sasha to Soulwax, Danny Howells to Tiesto and Pete Tong to Zane Lowe. For this event Matt Thomas will be performing a 100 percent live digital Ableton set, featuring absolutely no CDs, vinyl, open-reel tape machines or hand-wound wax-cylinders, so get to Sugar on Sat 11 November for a massive three-hour set.

Universal Zulu Nation, Rebel Music and Cultural Infusion present the Zulu Supa Jam tour on Fri 17 November, featuring (direct from New York to Adelaide's HQ Complex) Lord Finesse and DJ Roc Raida alongside Q-Unique and Presto1, with Melbourne's Fingertricks (J-Red, G-Smooth and Perplex), as well as Adelaide's Terra Firma, Mindfield, Pbody, Kirk1, DL and Dyems.

For over two years, Infiltrate has been providing a platform for upcoming d'n'b DJs to showcase their skills to the public in a clubbing environment. On Fri 17 November Infiltrate welcomes both the d'n'b and house selectors from the Lock Down DJ competition's 2006 spring edition to Club Feva. The budding DJs from the comp are being brought back to kick back and showcase their skills without the pressure of the competition. In the d'n'b room will be DJs Asylum, Roost, Rya, Josty, MPK vs Patch, Velocity and the Bass Element Crew featuring MC Seek. In the electro/house room will be DJs Element, DJ Stokes, Skippy, Toffee, Sleezee D, Reload (runner up of the Lock Down DJ comp 2006), Terence K and Intice, with MCs covering both rooms featuring Quantum, Stryke and Seek.

Rave Adelaide is about to turn three years old! Two rooms, two balconies, games, prizes, a BBQ and an awesome line-up of RA DJs. This year's venue is at club Feva and the crazy business will be taking place on Fri 10 November, so strap on ya' jet packs and get set for one mad night of booze, boobs and badness! Kick off is at 8 pm.
