There is lots of stuff happening in the next fortnight, gearing up for the October long weekend which has some awesome shows - but more on them in the next issue!

As a third of one of Australia's biggest live acts, Nubreed, and with a musical career spanning 15 years, Danny Bonnici is one of the most original and consistent talents in Australia's dance music scene. With a recent Mix CD with Luke Chable, Bonnicic is in tour mode and you can see him preform a DJ set with Ableton live, delivering his own style of dirty 4/4, electro and breaks at Sugar on Sat 2 September. There will be support from the usual Sugar misfits Jorge Watts and Tim Carter.

It's Tonic's second birthday, so to celebrate Funkshop has gone all out by bringing you the Mechwarrior straight from Canada. Join him as he brings it hard to Tonic along with residents Fiction and Patch on Fri 1 September.

The Official Mixology Digital launch is happening at Karma at Earth on Sat 2 September with special guests Bexta and Brooklyn Bounce. There will be supports from DJs RE, Slide, C4, Damage, JoSH, Aven, H-Bomb, Banshee, Mr. S and Odyessy.

In another scoop for Adelaide breaks fans, Meat Katie hits Adelaide for the first time on the back of his 'Vibrator' album. Meat Katie is set to rock you with a breaks/techno/electro/house set - good, dirty club music for jackin' bodies, on Thurs 7 September at Sugar.

With a slew of records, radio shows and a new project called Drum Cult, John Askew is without doubt one of the hottest tech/psy/trance DJs in the world right now. Tonic and Echo are joining forces to bring him to Adelaide on Fri 8 September.

There's a new night kicking off at the FAD Bar on Fri 8 September. Showcasing the new and rising stars of breaks and d'n'b, Pro'dj'ect will be a two-room extravaganza of beats. D'n'b DJs include Lavish, Deek, Ree, Troub9L, Les and Evil vs CYNIC, whilst H-Bomb, Cheeky B, Dusk and H*Edge have got the breaks side covered.

Being the only club night to play house, 2-step, garage and breaks and, buoyed by the success of their last show which saw Mojo packed to the rafters, the Jam guys return for another big week. Featuring Grif, Crispin, Funky J and guests, they're set to prove that people can have a good time to different music on Fri 8 September at Mojo.

Back in the day, the Talbot used to be the place to hear something different, but that folded once the principal players moved interstate to pursue their careers. However, in true Adelaide style, the Spin The Bottle guys have decided to come back and do it once again on Sat 9 September. Join DJs Jason Martin, Peter Finger, Tanooki, Craig Patten and Adrock mash up disco, house, electro, techno, and cult pop. Expect to hear anything and everything from Frankie Knuckles to Stevie Wonder to Donna Summer to Daft Punk and Carl Craig - and everything in between.

The First Eternal Energy party saw James Lawson rock a packed Earth Nightclub in May 2005, while last April Tara Reynolds repeated the party's success. Now in 2006 MTME Records presents Eternal Energy 3 on Fri 8 September at Earth Nightclub with Ben Stevens, Uberdruck (aka, DJ The Crow), AMS, Banga Matt supported by local DJs Adrian.V, Mr. S, Roket and MCs Rudeboy and Maestro D.

Karma and Earth present the official inthemix.com.au Top50 party with loads of Adelaide's finest and with special guest DJ Nik Fish playing a breaks/house set, as well as his traditional hard dance set on Sat 9 September.

FAD Cafe will get more love on Sat 2 September with the official opening for The Alt branding and the new website. Dedicated to the alternative side of life and sounds, The Alt is coming forth to spread forth little-heard and known sounds/genres and artists into the locale with DJs dAUBIST, Simon Booth and Phorm rocking new and different styles to those traditionally heard in Adelaide.
