Metal News.

A reminder that on Fri 23 Jun, there will be a show at the Rocket Bar featuring Michigan's Wolf Eyes, Melbourne's Grey Daturas and True Radical, and locals My Sister The Cop and The Bitches of Zeus. One of the last band's members, Daniel Varricchio, will also be DJing on the night, as will Jon Dale of The Wire Magazine, and dB's very own Lenin Simos.

On Fri 30 Jun, there will be a free, over-18s only, show at the Crown And Anchor Hotel featuring Victoria's Blind Nation and locals Murder Hill and Deafening Silence.

On Sat 1 Jul, Fowler's Live will be playing host to Raven's Nest, a metal extravaganza being organized by Raven Black Night. Bands on the bill will be Raven Black Night (who'll be including some new material in their set); Melbourne sleaze metal rockers, The Dead Things; the brutal and perennially popular Imminent Psychosis; progressive industrial metal band, Art In Exile (the new band of ex-Embryonic Soul member, Mel); and Faith In Decay, described as "Marilyn Manson's love kids meets death metal"; in addition, DJs will be playing metal classics throughout the night. Doors open at 7:30 PM.

Also on Sat 1 Jul will be an all-ages show at Le Rox (Bridgeway Hotel) featuring Diatribe, Truth Corroded, Skintilla and Splyne, along with Brisbane visitors, Preference. Doors open at 7 PM for this one.
After their live performance was put on hold as a result of an unfortunate accident involving their drummer Johno, Omnium will at last be returning to the live scene with a free show at the Crown And Anchor Hotel on Sat 22 Jul, their first public performance since last December, when they opened for Nile. Starting at 9 PM, the gig will also feature Imminent Psychosis.

Last visiting Australia in November of 2004, New York hardcore band Most Precious Blood will be returning next month to do a show at the Enigma Bar on Fri 21 Jul with support from Melbourne's Her Nightmare; tickets for this are now on sale. Most Precious Blood have also released a new album, 'Merciless', which is available on Roadrunner/Trustkill.

Tickets are also now on sale for the inaugural Australian tour of American hardcore/metal band, Ringworm, who'll be touring the country with Melbourne's Mindsnare and Newcastle's The Dead Walk! The carnival of carnage will be coming to Adelaide on Fri 4 Aug, when the above bands will be doing an all-ages show at the Enigma Bar. In the meantime, check out the headlining act's newest album, 'Justice Replaced By Revenge', out now on Victory/Stomp.
