Prize Frenzy™!

How are you going, dear reader. No, really: how are you? You're well? Things toddling along nicely? Good, good. Why this sudden concern? No reason, no reason at all. Frenzor(™) is just genuinely interested in how you're doing and hopes that you're hale and hearty - and certainly not because he's planning to tear you to shreds with his mighty talons and feast on your steaming innards, if that's what you're thinking. No, he's all about what's best for you: plump, succulent you. And even in the unlikely event that Prize Frenzy(™) was nothing more than a thinly veiled way to get you into his lair where he can kill and eat you, you're fortunately greedy enough to fall for it each and every fortnight. So, if you've tired of living and/or fancy getting any of the below for free, ring 8231 0881 at 1pm on Fri 12 May and shriek for your choice of the following:

1. Will Oakeshott gets the lowdown from Bleeding Through in this issue, and Resist have come to the party with three double passes to their Wed 24 May show at Fowler's Live. Rock!

2. Story Of The Year and Emery are both in this issue and both in our hearts - and both will be on stage at Thebarton Theatre on Fri 12 May, and you could be there with them (well, not on the stage, obviously, but in the room) by grabbing one of three doubles from Michael Chugg Entertainment.

3. Motion City Soundtrack hit Fowler's Live on Sun 21 May, as you'll learn when you read Ryan Smith's interview with them in this issue, and we have passes to that very show again courtesy of Michael Chugg Entertainment.

4. Or perhaps you wish to get your groove on with The Streets, having read Wade Howland's interview with Mike Skinner, and as luck would have it Warners have kindly slung us copies of his 'Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living' CD.

5. Ben Revi learns much from Matt Tow of The Lovetones in this issue, not least concerning that band's new CD 'Meditations' of which we have three copies, thanks to Undercover Music.

6. End Of Fashion talk to Ann Marie Sosnowski in this issue, and EMI think you'd benefit from being at the show at the Governor Hindmarsh on Sun 21 May: and to back it up, they've given us three double passes.

7. Nashville Pussy tell James Brazel all about how they rock down South, and you can rock with them at the Enigma Bar on Thurs 18 May, thanks to the two double passes supplied by Chatterbox.

8. We couldn't squeeze Narelle Walker's chat with NZ musical legend Shayne Carter aka Dimmer in this issue, so we've put it up at dbmagazine.com.au for your reading pleasure - and Inertia have slipped us some copies of his 'It All Looks The Same At Night' disc, since they're nice that way.

9. We've also got ten - count 'em! - in season double passes to Neil Young's 'Heart Of Gold' movie, which is running at the Palace from Thurs 11 May. See Peter Strelan's review in this issue.

10. EMI want to et you eve more hyped about the Arctic Monkeys - you may have heard of them, they're rather good - and hence we have three copies of their brand new single When The Sun Goes Down up for grabs.

ONLINE ONLY FRENZY

The Frenztron6000(™) was very... disappointed that there wasn't room for Andrew P Street's interview with The Cloud Room in this issue, so it ordered it be put up online and also that a huge, eminently-collectable pack of Room-related merch be made available for the winning, containing their self-titled album and a UK-exclusive 7" of their new Blackout single, among other neat things - and all you have to do is be the first person to get the correct answers to the below questions to andrew@dbmagazine.com.au:

1. What's the Cloud Room's Triple-J-beloved single?

2. What's the name of the Cloud Room's frontman?

3. What inspired the answer to Question 1?
