Prize Frenzy™!

There's something undeniably creepy about seeing Frenzor™ dressed in a fluffy bunny suit. I mean, in a way it's nice that a hundred-foot-tall bescaled hellbeast would be so enthusiastic about celebrating Easter, and it's definitely less creepy than when he dressed up for Japanese Schoolgirl Day a few weeks ago (which we didn't even know was a holiday, to be honest), but there's still something about the juxtaposition of the pink velour rabbit ears with Frenzor™'s terrifyingly demonic countenance that makes one's skin not so much "crawl" as "attempt to escape from one's body and make a lunge for the fire escape". In any case, since Friday's supposedly "good" the Frenzy will be a day earlier than usual, so you'd best call 8231 0881 at 1pm on Thurs 13 April to have any hope of grabbing one of the following:

1. Andrew P Street was not a little delighted to be speaking with Flaming Lips' frontman Wayne Coyne about his band's rather excellent new 'At War With The Mystics', and you can enjoy the music behind the conversation by grabbing a copy thanks to Warners.

2. Lacuna Coil's fronterperson Christina Scabbia is a rather comely lass, which is one reason why she's on the cover of this very issue. Another reason is that her band have just released the stomping 'Karmacode', of which we have several copies thanks to Century Media.

3. Steve Hocking is rather delighted with the new Mendoza Line album, which is why 'Full Of Light And Full Of Fire' is this issue's We Liked It And You Will Too, and also why Low Transit Industries have slipped us three copies for your listening pleasure.

4. Or perhaps you need some no-nonsense blue-collar rock in your life? Sam Vinall discusses such things with the Cosmic Psychos in this issue, and we have three packs containing a copy of their brand new 'Off Ya Cruet!' and a double pass to their Enigma Bar show on Fri 21 April, thanks to the good people at Shiny Records.

5. Alex Lloyd is returning to Adelaide in June, and to get yourself in that Lloyd-lovin' mood why not grab a copy of his (ahem) brand new single Brand New Day, thanks to SonyBMG?

6. Or perhaps you'd prefer a single that better celebrated the spirit of the Commonwealth Games, like Ben Lee's band new We're All In This Together? We have five copies up for grabs, each with a signed poster, and first person to grab one will get a bonus t-shirt, thanks to Inertia.

7. Everyone's going to want to go to the Josh Pyke show at Jive on Mon 24 April, but you could totally go for free after reading Lauren Boxhall's interview with the Pykemeister and grabbing a double pass thanks to Liberation.

8. Honest-to-god musical legend Gary Numan tells Morgan Read all about his new 'Jagged' CD in this issue, and Shock mark the occasion with five copies of that very album.

9. Elsewhere in this issue Nina Bertok gets some straight answers out of CKY, and UMA symbolically applaud her valour via five copies of their 'An Answer Can Be Found' CD.

10. Or maybe you need some sweet, sweet hip-hop, Atmosphere style? Check out Alexis Buxton-Collin's interview with Slug in this issue, then make your play for one of two double passes to their Fri 21 April show at Fowler's Live, thanks to Frontier Touring.

Online Only Frenzy™!

The Frenztron6000™ read Andrew P Street's review of 'The Micaleff P(r)ogram(me) Series Un' and thought "so this is what these humans call... comedy." Hence, it's used its coldly logical powers to extricate three copies from the lovely, if terrified, people at Kaliedoscope DVD: to snatch yourself a copy from its metal claws all you have to do is email andrew@dbmagazine.com.au with your answers to the following brilliant questions:

1. What was the name of Shaun Micallef's short-lived late night chat program?

2. What do Dr Miracle and District Attorney Ferguson have in common?

3. The first series was called 'The Micallef Program'. What were the names of series 2 and 3?
