Prize Frenzy™!

Tread carefully, gentle reader: Frenzor™'s fallen at the last hurdle over this festive period and is currently nursing the sort of hangover that could kill a donkey. Three weeks of boozing - well, drinking the blood of Fringe and Festival revellers who've been boozing, to be more precise - has taken its toll and it'd be wise to give him a wide berth. In fact, the trilling of the Prize Frenzy™ phone will probably send him into a fiery rage, which should make this issue's Frenzy™ fairly "colourful": so if you feel like taking your life in your hands, give him a call on 8231 0881 at 1pm on Fri 17 March - but don't say you weren't warned...

1. This, however, is an early one: Kelly Fogarty Publicity has handed over two double passes to Rich Hall's late show at the Freemasons Hall at 10pm on Thurs 16 March, so call as soon as you read this. Unless you're reading this after Wednesday morning, at which point it's fairly safe to say you'll have missed out. Sorry. Worms, birds, early, that sort of thing.

2. Now, from here on it's all about the Friday-only Frenzy™: The Hilltop Hoods are on the cover and in our hearts, and Julian Cram discusses all things Hoodsian with Suffa elsewhere in this issue - and we have three copies of the brand-spanking new 'The Hard Road', each with a double pass to their Sat 1 April gig at Adelaide Uni, thanks to the band and Pulling Strings management.

3. Andrew P Street argues - passionately - that McLusky's new posthumous retrospective is a damn fine thing later in this issue. That's why 'McLuskyism' is We Liked It And You Will Too, and also why Remote Control have slipped a couple of copies our way. Sing it!

4. Thunderbox Carbunkle & The Lonely Cosmonauts aren't so taken with the SA Labor Party's much-vaunted law and order policy: so much so they've just released a pre-election single about our premier, Also Rann, and the fellows have handed us three copies of your parochial political pleasure.

5. Eddie Chan asks the hard questions of Fanny Suicide about the upcoming SuicideGirls burlesque show at Fowler's Live on Wed 5 April, and you can be teased into punk rock submission by grabbing one of two double passes thanks to Jo Wilson Publicity.

6. Next issue you'll read all about the Bouncing Souls and their imminent tour which will see them at the Adelaide UniBar on Mon 3 April, but for now you'll have to content yourself with winning one of two double passes to the gig thanks to Blue Murder.

7. Darren Hanlon enjoys a good old yarn with Scott Berry in this issue, in which they discuss his hopes, his dreams and upcoming show at the Jade Monkey on Fri 24 March, for which we have two doubles thanks to Candle Records.

8. The mighty rock'n'roll juggernaut that is Sixfthick are back with a new album, 'Canetrash': they talk to Sam Vinall in this issue and Spooky Records have furnished us with a couple of copies.

9. And see out the Fringe in style by catching the final performances of 'Trad' (6.15pm) or Greg Coetzee's 'White Men With Weapons' (7.50pm) on Sun 19 March. We've got two double passes to each, thanks to Amanda Werner Publicity and APA.

Online Only Frenzy™!

The Frenztron6000™ claims that it's nothing but a G (Unit) thing this issue by grabbing an impressive, limited-edition '50 Cent: Bulletproof' pack from Vivendi Universal games and Rev It up publicity, containing a signed copy of the Playstation 2 game, a limited-edition DVD slipcase and a poster: all you have to do is answer these staggeringly simple questions and email your answer to andrew@dbmagazine.com.au:

1. What's 50 Cent's real name?

2. Name four members of G Unit.

3. What's Fiddy's film called?

First correct entry gets the booty.
