What?! A public holiday in March??? Wicked! And what's even better it's after the Womad weekend, so you can recover from your Chai hangovers. Speaking of all things hippyish, the answer to the Black Eyed Peas' question "where is the love?" can now be answered... in Berlin! Maybe it's got something to do with Paul Van Dyke (who will be here in Adelaide at the end of March) winning the DJ Mag top 100 poll, but after huge amounts of lobbying the world-famous Love Parade returns to the capital after a two year hiatus. Yay for people power!

Number 1 Hard Dance DJ in the world Proteus returns to Adelaide to join the Earth's first birthday party celebrations on Fri 10 March. Held over the Adelaide cup weekend, the club features Proteus on Fri 10 March, Karma on Sat 11 March with Sydney's Nik Fish, and Sun 12 March seeing the official CD Launch of 'Skitz Mix 22' with DJ Nick Skitz. Earth Nightclub will also be launching its official website (www.earthnightclub.com) on its birthday weekend, so go online and check it out!

If you're up for a cool brew and some funky beats, you can't go past the Jam at Mojo on Fri 10 March. Trucker, Chris, Grif and Funky J together with guests are set to provide a massive assortment of reggae, dub, dancehall, two-step and breaks for your listening pleasure. And as March is both Funky J and Grif's birthdays, the March edition of the Jam is always a highlight of the year.

A Sides has become a highly respected d'n'b-producer-slash-DJ within the past five years. Producing music since 1990, he has released over 300 tracks to date and is running his own labels Eastside, Fuze and Diagram. Catch him at Black Cat Nightclub on Fri 10 March.

It's the end of an era as the XSIV Crew farewell Gumhaven Leisure Centre up in Kersbrook with the final Elsuion dance party on Sat 11 March. Join the revellers in a journey of sight and sound featuring the cream of Adelaide's finest selectors side by side including Devious, Mr S, MPK, Illicit Energy (Banshee & Zealous in full costume), Woz v Q, Xsiv, KoreRupt, Filter, Exes and Stealth.

D-NOX is head of Sprout & Plastik Park record labels, and you'll get to see this German legend at Sugar on Sat 11 March alongside Mal Chia, Matt Parker and loads more, including a surprise Victorian guest!

At Black Cat on Sun 12 March is LTJ Bukem with his wingman MC Conrad. Also playing is Formation records founder, DJ SS with MC Warren G.

And congratulations go out to a few Aussies for making it into the top award categories of certain polls of late. Nick Thayer and Basskleph's remix of Drumattic Twins Feelin' Kinda Strange was voted the Best Remix of 2005 at the fifth annual Breakspoll awards in the YK, whilst Dopamine's Hold You took the Best Single award. Similarly congratulations go out to DJ Luna, who polled at number 37 in the top female DJs at the popular Shejay.com website. Unfortunately Adelaide's finest girl DJs such as Josh and Cheeky B both missed the top 100. Injustice!
