Craig Egan Make Some Noise The Rhino Room until Sat 4 March After graduating from nightclub glassy to MC, Craig Egan's world as he knew it was about to turn from very bad to very much worse. Sure the status of the guy behind the console is higher than the loser stacking glasses over his shoulder and cleaning up vomit, but only marginally, all things considered... Egan has always been noisy, right to the point that his mother used to put chloroform onto his pillow to make him sleep so it was inevitable that after a life of worshipping Transformers, Astro Boy and Bill and Ted, Egan's vocational pathways weren't too promising. 'Make Some Noise' finds Egan humorously recounting much of his drug dependent rise and fall from the DJ box, as well as taking the opportunity to publicly piss on many of the employers, patrons, fellow himbos and bubble boys who made his life so wretched. Also featured are tales from his travels to non-existent destinations such as Perth and Paris, the virtues of a purple Mini-Minor and being fired from two Adelaide FM radio stations. Egan's presentation is fast, full and friendly, and funny in an honest, revealing sort of way. So get ready to put your hands in the air and make some noise.  |
