Prize Frenzy™!

Wow. I mean, really... wow. We can't believe that we got Frenzor™ so very wrong. All that time we thought he was killing and maiming innocent people because of some vicious bloodlust that burns insatiably in his cruel and ice-cold heart, snatching swag from the cold, dead hands of our nations' finest publicists like macabre trophies in some demented game of murder and madness - when all this time it turns out that he just wanted to be... loved. Yes, despite his brutal exterior, Frenzor™ is as human as any of us - at least, as human as an 80 metre tall pitch-black daemon from the depths of hell can be - and deep down all he wants is to be your friend.

Nah, we're kidding. Frenzor™ will kill you - seriously, he's planning to do so really soon - but at least he's got some shiny objects with which to distract you as he delivers the final blow. And you can doom yourself by snatching up his gaudy baubles and trinkets: simply call 8231 0881 at 1pm on Fri 10 Feb and gibber senselessly for your choice of the following:

1. Radio Birdman are stone-cold Australian rock legends, dude, and their frontman Rob Younger tells Suzy Ramone all about their history and upcoming tour in this issue. Furthermore, we have doubles to their Fowler's Live show on Thurs 16 Feb thanks to Feel Presents.

2. You've read Sam Vinall's chat with Lagwagon, you know they're here very shortly and you want to hear some rock - then why not grab a copy of 'Resolve', thanks to Shock?

3. Tegan & Sara are coming to Adelaide on their first headlining tour, and the "Tegan" half of the equation speaks to Cassie Hilditch in this issue. What's more, we have two doubles to their Governor Hindmarsh show on Sun 12 Feb, thanks to Scorpion Entertainment.

4. Dallas Crane are bringing the beach to the Adelaide UniBar on Sat 11 Feb, which explains why Dave Larkin's chatting with Ann Marie Sosnowski in this issue: grab yourself one of three double passes to the gig, thanks to Chrissie Vincent Publicity.

5. Angie Hart tells Andrew P Street all about her current work in Holidays On Ice in this issue and to celebrate this old-school Aus-indie summit we have three copies of HOI's 'Playing Boyfriends And Girlfriends' CD, each with a different badge, thanks to Inertia.

6. You're feeling madly dancey, right? Sure you are: so you'll want to get along to 4 Strings at Earth on Sat 18 Feb. And as it happens, we have two double passes to that very show thanks to DJ Josh and the folks at Earth.

7. Style High Club are all set to launch their 'Creativity Department' CD at the Rhino Room on Fri 17 Feb, and they've kindly slipped us three doubles to the show and three copies of that very CD. Now, that's Style.

8. This chock-filled issue didn't have enough room for Sherree Woodmore's live review of the Backstreet Boys - but you can check it out online (complete with pix from Rodney Magazinovic) at www.dbmagazine/com.au, and SonyBMG can provide a soundtrack via copies of the fancy tour edition of 'Never Gone'.

9. Underground US music legend Calvin Johnson is about to make his first ever visit to Adelaide: he talks to Lenin Simos in this issue and we have two double passes to his show at Rocket Bar on Tues 14 Jan, thanks to Popfrenzy.

10. Loved Kings Of Leon at the Big Day Out but want to keep the love flowing at home? You're in luck: SonyBMG have handed over three copies of their 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' tour edition CD.

11. The Living End's Scott Owen tells Nina Bertok all about their new album 'State Of Emergency' in this issue, and EMI have come to the rock'n'roll party with copies of said disc, because they're nice that way.

12. We've coming to the end of Moonlight Cinema's summer season, so if you haven't enjoyed a film in the environs of Botanic Park as yet you should totally grab a double pass and get along to such excellent flicks as 'Rize', 'Kung Fu Hustle', 'Charlie & The Chocolate Factory'm 'High Fidelity', 'Russian Dolls', 'Chicken Little', 'The Chronicles Of Narnia' and 'The Brothers Grimm'. Cheers, Entertainment PR.
