The Best CDs of 2005.
Andrew P Street doesn't muck around. As dB Magazines noble,
erudite and very slightly hungover Music Editor he takes his
responsibilities as The Guy What Compiles The End Of Year
Lists very seriously - if anything, a little too seriously.
He gets quite funny about it, to be honest: harassing every
one of dBs writers relentlessly about what they thought was
the best and most exciting music theyd heard this year, then
feeding the results through the Listenator-Ranktron6000 to
come up with an accurate reflection of what dB Magazine, as
a whole, thinks was the raddest music of 2005.
And here it is, in all its listy glory: and how lovely it
is to see so many Adelaide bands represented, including three
of the top five (and mad props to Pharaohs for taking out
the number one possie!).
Vote Squad 2005 are: Brett Allen-Bayes, Scott Berry, Nina
Bertok, Lauren Boxhall, Alexis Buxton-Collins, Eddie Chan,
Lauren Connelly, Julian Cram, Lara Derham, Kate Fabbian, Simon
Foster, Cassie Hilditch, Steven Hocking, Wade Howland, Cara
Hume, Michael Hunter, Steve Jones, Tim Koch, Jess Law, Adrian
Lee, Mark Liebelt, Nick Parkin, Anthony Paxton, Morgan Read,
Jeremy Reglar, Ben Revi, Sam Ryan, Lenin Simos, Ryan Smith,
Ann-Marie Sosnowski, Peter Strelan, Leo Verona, Matt Vesely,
Narelle Walker, Maddi West, Jack Wilde, Steve Williams, Jeremy
Wright and Andrew P Street.
