dB Readers' AwardsThe 2005 dBra Awards!

Hey, South Australia!

The dB Magazine Readers Awards (or, as we acronymically know it as, the dBras) is happening again and it's your chance to let us know what local talent has floated your rock'n'roll boat over the past 12 months - and considering that it's been what many consider to be the raddest year for Adelaide music in a good long time, we expect to see some enthusiastic nominations happening.

The nominations are in, the favourites have been selected: now all you have to do is vote for your favourite SA band/solo artist/venue/event/release in a whole mess of categories - but do it quickly, since you have mere days in which to do it. We'll be announcing the winners of the 2005 dB Magazine Readers Awards in our first issue for 2006, which will hit the streets on Wed 11 Jan - so hop to it!

And let's just reiterate that the dBras are the ONLY South Australian music awards that are completely and utterly controlled by YOU, the punter: all the nominations, all the voting, all down to you. And that's why we love you.

Let the voting begin!

Follow the instructions as laid out below and make your vote count!

    THE RULES

  1. The results are BY ONLINE PUBLIC VOTING ONLY. In other words: it's up
    to you, punters.
  2. Don't nominate more than once since we're tracing where votes are
coming from and we'll just wipe yours. You'll look like a fool and be of no
use to anyone. This is all about representing SA music, so help us out here.
  3. For venue and event categories we've made some suggestions to
illustrate what we're after, but feel free to add your own if we've missed
    something.
  4. Fill in as many categories as you are able. However, your nominations still count if you haven't filled in all the categories.
  5. Voting closes soon!! We'll be announcing the winners of the 2005 dB Magazine Readers Awards in our first issue for 2006, which will hit the streets on Wed 11 Jan!
  6. Got a website? Feel free to link to the dBras.
  7. … Vote!
