Hot on the heels of the London Bombings, UK riot police stopped the illegal activities of a secret cell in Norfolk. Three arrests were made and a sizable amount of equipment was seized, averting any harm coming to the citizens of Norfolk. The police were "alerted to a large number of vehicles - in the region of between 300 and 400", towards a disused quarry. Up to 40 police stormed the Quarry, and stopped people from being exposed to the evil of repetitive beats. Yes, The Criminal Justice Bill once again saves England from a bunch of kids having some fun! Now, I can't speak for you, but what would you rather police be doing - busting ravers having a good time, or looking out for terrorists?

The boys at Jam at Mojo will be rocking a fond farewell to Yak and Tony and Luke on Fri 12 July. Expect Grif, Trucker, Crispin and Funky J to rock out the craziest tunes they can. We'll miss you guys! BlackLightBlu returns to TonicBar on Fri 12 July for its second instalment of the global sounds of Trance, served to you by sel- confessed trance addicts, DJs Dr Damage, ATB, Solace, Agent Smith and MC Jules. In an interesting piece of news Public Enemy's new album 'Rebirth Of A Nation' has been "withdrawn from it's worldwide release until next year". No reason for the withdrawal was given, although a rumour on a popular Newsgroup suggests a riff between producer Paris and the rest of PE. However, 'Power To The People And The Beats: Public Enemy's Greatest Hits' should be out shortly, so fans should be kept happy until next year.

Speaking of record releases, expect Skyver and D-Jon's album to be out soon. The guys were planning on a late August release, but it too has been postponed, but not for reasons as dramatic as Public Enemy's: they're just waiting for a good date for a massive launch party!

Looking for a night dedicated to the full spectrum of underground sounds? Head to Black Cat on Fri 12 Aug for the Adelaide debut of three deck techno master, Deetron alongside Matt "Banga Matt" Thomas, Adelaide legend HMC doing a Classics set, Fenetik, Jorge Watts, hard dance stalwarts Odyssey vs Mr.S with L8s, Lachy Pender, Quantum and Matt Abbot.

Every time Vibe touches down it's a stomper! The massive line up of the biggest names in Adelaide's d'n'b scene include John Doe, Patch, MPK, Filter, Fiction, Backup, Switch, Static and Jason alongside the lyrical support of MCs Xpress, Mennan, Stryke and Hype. Every other time it's been rocking, people have talked about it as a night not to have been missed, so don't you miss out - Club 199 on Nth Tce on Fri 19 Aug.

Adelaide's progressive and trance alliance continues as two of Canberra's top performers join Echo and Fabric Promotions for another quality night at Black Cat's Heat on Fri 19 Aug. Jaytech will be playing live, utilising keyboards, laptop and turntables, whilst Matt Rowan will be demonstrating his skills on the ones and twos. Support DJs are Echo, Solace, Matt Parker, Mal Chia, S. Wicks and Mr S. Mix Master Mike is coming! If you haven't seen him, then you've not seen one of the greatest DJs in the world. His mixing not only defies traditional notions of mixing and scratching but often the very laws of physics themselves: get along to see him and also bare witness to local Adelaide DJs Staen1, Shep, Reflux and David L battling it out at St Pauls Fri 26 Aug!

Adelaide is set for a scorching start to spring. After being told repeatedly Diesel Boy was too expensive and Adelaide was too small, the badman of d'n'b touches down at the beginning of next month with Goldie, yet another "too expensive for Adelaide" d'n'b act, coming here the week after. Two final ever tours are also landing in Adelaide: Sonic Animation and Boys II Men! Nick Sentience will also be in town, the same week as the HipHop Allstar show with Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, and Kurtis Blow. Then at the end of the month we've got Bad Company at Blind 2, raising money for the Blind Society once again, and then early October sees Hybrid return! And that's just the beginning!
