Blazin 4: The Mixtape
UMG
As the very first hip-hop and r'n'b mix tape to be legally released in Australia, the 'Blazin' mix series have been a major presence in the Australian urban scene. By combining hip-hop and r'n'b talents from around the country and the world, 'Blazin' has proven to also be a huge showcase for Australian talents not just behind the microphones, but behind the studio desks. The fourth in the series again utilises the enormous talents of Nino Brown mixing it up on CD 1 and Samrai on CD 2; founding members of The Chiefrockers and perhaps two of the best Australian DJs in their field.
Not only does 'Blazin 4' bring together international artists such
as Nina Sky, Nelly, Kelis, Ludacris and Scribe, but Brown and Samrai
also stand up for Australian talent with the inclusion of Daniel Merriweather,
Maya Jupiter, Stan Bravo, Phrase, Judge and The Hilltop Hoods. This
album also has some of hip-hop's classics including Skee-Lo's I
Wish, N.W.A's Express Yourself, and De La Soul's Me,
Myself And I, which blend in well together with the hits of today.
'Blazin' has once again released a fabulous mix tape and with Brown and Samrai behind the decks you are assured of a quality production; and with almost sixty tracks over two CDs, it will cater for all forms of hip-hop and r'n'b tastes.
