2004 has truly belonged to Jet. Cementing their explosive entrance and subsequent high reputation here and overseas in 2003, the boys have released a DVD charting their rise to the top, oddly entitled 'Right! Right! Right!' (I believe it's called 'Family Style' internationally: as to why the silly local title, I don't know).

The swanky title cover invites you to partake in some lovely Jet goodness: a feature length documentary, a selection of local and international versions of video clips from 'Get Born' and the concert at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne in its full surround sound glory. Right!

The documentary is basically interviews with all five boys interspliced with TV spots, concert excerpts and behind the scenes footage of them fooling around (erm, alcohol is involved), and recording 'Get Born' at Sunset Sound, Hollywood (there is a rather amusing bit where Cam is accosted by the cameraman first thing in the morning, looking like a trainwreck, stating, "Uh, I don't feel too well... Nic is in the shower, I think.") and other such japes and larks. The interviews are definitely enlightening, explaining how they got their first gigs at the Duke, A&R interest, the reaction to their meteoric rise, the hype, the backlash and so on. They all come across as highly intelligent and interesting people, and perhaps not the wankers some consider them to be. The videos are all rather splendid and I found the US version of Rollover DJ particularly amusing. The live concert at the Forum will be a revelation to anyone who had any doubts about their live nous, and look for a cameo by Chris Cheney of the Living End on That's Alright Mama.

This DVD is a must have item for any hard nosed Jet fan, and a rather interesting night in front of the box for anyone else keen for a look in at "those blokes who won that pile of ARIAs" .
