Dance News.
Vinyl is truly dying. Sales of turntables and vinyl are down, and CDs and internet downloads are finally killing the old ones and twos. However, this shouldn't be a sad thing since it's allowed opportunities to arise that wouldn't otherwise - such as Volatile Records, Australia's first fully digital record label. Set up by Odyssey and Mr S they sell Australian made hard house, techno, trance, hardcore, breaks, drum and bass and even Psychedelic trance on a massive site called Track It Down (www.trackitdown.net) run by Ed real and BK from Nukleuz records, London. They sell high quality MP3's with the Artist getting the majority of the money. Currently there are about 75 unreleased local tunes from all styles, so if you're a DJ looking for great new, unreleased tunes, then head to www.trackitdown.net!
