Prize Frenzy™!

Frenzor™ is up to his leathery, fetid-smelling neck in giveaways this issue, so we're not going to beat around the bush. If you're in the mood for something rad, ring 8231 0881 at 1pm on Fri 8 Oct and ask politely for your choice of the following:

1. Andrew P Street talks to Interpol about their brand new 'Antics' CD in this issue, and to celebrate Remote Control have slung us three packs containing the CD and an Interpol poster, which is very good of them.

2. Sam Vinall gets the good word from Jay Dunne of 28 Days about their new 'Extremist Makeover' album, and FMR have kindly hurled us a bunch of that very CD. They're nice that way.

3. Morgan Read reckons that Brian Wilson's 'Smile,' was well worth waiting 37 years for - read this issue's 'We Liked It And You Will Too,' then grab a copy of this piece of rock history thanks to Warners.

4. Kaleidoscope Films have just released their first theatrical release, and you could be among the first in the world to see it by grabbing one of the fifteen double passes they've sent us to 'The Football Factory' at Marion Megaplex on Wed 14 Oct.

5. Ben Revi never needs much convincing to talk to Katy Steele from Little Birdy - and EMI haven't been backwards in coming forwards with five copies of the 'Birdy's debut album, 'BigBigLove.'

6. Andrew P Street lives out a childhood fantasy of talking to a member of Duran Duran in this issue, and Sony have sweetly supplied us with five copies of their reunion album 'Astronaut.'

7. The Topp Twins are doing the rounds of SA's theatres at the moment, and they've kindly slung us a pack containing their CD, their DVD, their book and a double pass to their show at Her Majesty's Theatre on Thurs 21 Oct! What good people they are.

8. Sianna Lee from Love Outside Andromeda negotiated the nation's public phones to speak to Ben Revi in this issue, and Remote Control celebrate the event by sending us three packs of their self-titled debut and a poster.

9. Chris Niehus gets the lowdown from Jesse Hooper about what's taken Killing Heidi so darn long to bring out their self-titled third album, of which Sony have given us several copies.

10. Maddi West reckons that 'Spun' is the sort of DVD that you really should see - check our her review this issue, then grab a copy thanks to MRA Entertainment.

11. Wade Howland would be the first to tell you that you'd best get along to see the Royal Crown Revue at Fowlers on Sat 16 Oct - and to facilitate that, Jo Corbett Publicity have given us two double passes to the show.

12. So: you've read Sam Vinall's chat with The Nation Blue and thought 'Gee, I'd really like to hear their new 'Damnation' album - if it was signed by the band, so much the better." Well, Casadeldisco have read your mind - there are three copies up for grabs.

13. Or perhaps you'd sooner catch a movie - like, say, 'A Touch Of Spice,' which opens on Thurs 14 Oct - and Foster Workshop PR have given us a whole bunch of in-season double passes!

Online Only Frenzy™!

Speaking of films, the Frenztron5000™ has scored a 'Metallica: Some Kind Of Monster' pack from the good folks at Picture This, containing a double pass to the movie and a set of CDs - all you have to do is email andrew@dbmagazine.com.au and tell him the answers to the following questions:

1. What band did Dave Mustaine form after leaving Metallica?

2. What member of the band died in a 1986 coach crash?

3. What rock legend sang on 1997's The Memory Remains?
