Prize Frenzy™!
We're prized up to the nines at the moment thanks to the never-ending vigilance of the dread Frenzor™!, winged hellspawn of the Frenzy™!. 1. It’s Fringe time, and we’re Fringing it up with ten – count ‘em – double passes to see Danny Bhoy’s 7pm show at the Nova Cinema on Sun 22 Feb, thanks to Miranda Brown Publicity.
2. Or maybe you’re taken with the looks of Brink’s production of ‘The Caretaker’ which starts at the Odeon on Sat 28 Feb – we have ten doubles to said show up for grabs, thanks to Brink.
3. Jeremy Green has a fine yarn with Kasper Eistrup from Kashmir in this issue, and you can hear the subject of their discussions by grabbing a copy of their ‘Zitilites’ CD, thanks to Sony.
4. Eddie Chan had a civilised chat with Leigh Lambert of Deloris about their nice new CD-EP ‘Playing The Spaces’ – and they’ve sent us three copies because they’re good, good people.
5. Steve Jones can’t say enough good things about Spencer P Jones, and you can see why by getting along to his show at the Regal on Sat 21 Feb: we have five double passes, thanks to Buxton Walker PR.
6. You want to catch The Sleepy Jackson rocking Fowlers Live, right? Then you’d better get your mitts on some double passes, thanks to Peter Darwin Presents.
7. Or perhaps you’d like to laugh yourself sick to Justin Hamilton and his Fringe show ‘Purple Cows’ at Rhino Room on Fri 20 Feb? Well, you can; thanks to Extra Mile Entertainment we have two double passes.
8. Two Tribes is happening at the Planet Entertainment Complex with a bangin’ lineup that already includes BT, Mauro Picotto, Green Velvet, Lucien Forte and Christopher Lawrence, to name but a few, and Future Entertainment have given us a double pass and a copy of BT’s ‘Emotional Technology’ for a lucky winner.
9. Cassie Hilditch chats away with Martin Solvieg about his ‘Suite’ CD and his upcoming show at Savvy – and you can grab a copy of ‘Suite’ thanks to UMG.
10. More comedy for your laughing gear to wrap around: Dave Williams’ new show is called ‘Flame On’ and you could be at the Fri 20 Feb performance at the Rhino Room, if you win one of the two double passes thanks to Extra Mile Entertainment.
11. Mid Youth Crisis have reformed for a lap of the country which will see them at Enigma on Sat 21 Feb, and we have a couple of doubles up for grabs thanks to Scorpion Entertainment.
12. Trentwood’s Operation Never Fall Apart single is not only catchy as hell but also includes an amazingly cute video for the track – read Chris Niehus’ chat with the lads, then grab a copy of the single thanks to Pact Records.
13. Lucky thirteen is Japunga: they chat with Adam Hood about their imminent Enigma show and their ‘Light At Day’s End’ album – and we have three copies of said album, thanks to Collision.
14. Or let your spirit take flight with Leigh Warren & Dancers’ ‘Mixed Doubles’ at Elder Hall on Wed 25 Feb – and they’ve even given us two doubles for the show, which is kind of them.
15. And another thing! Taikoz are ready to take you sonically where your percussive self has probably never been before with their Oz take on the traditional drums of Taiko. To that end they've handed over a 2 double passes for their show on Sat 21 feb at Norwood Town Hall.
