PHEW! What a week! That long weekend was awesome, and although we don't have another extra day off until December, there's still some MASSIVE events coming up in the next few months as spring powers into summer!

Things continue to kick on as Fabric welcomes two young guns to the decks, Zeus and Will Prestwich, joining Fabric regulars Mal Chia, Andee, K2 and Steve Culgan on Fri 17 Oct at Minke's Skylab.

Do you like Pizza? Well, get a serve from the one and only Sleek the Elite at Traffic on Fri 17 Oct. Featuring DJ Bonez and his sexy dancing girls The Sleekettes, Sleek will show you that he was around before Pizza, and will be around well after maaate!

Get frantic at Frantic on Sat 18 Oct as the System 6 guys bring you two massive outdoor arenas featuring hard house and drum and bass. Hard house fans can enjoy Dave Randall and Paul Glazby from the UK, alongside NZ's Zebedee with locals Odyssey, Mr S, Bold Live, Laura P, Quantum, Submisssion, Devious, Brendon, Damage, Sniper, Wojtek, Spadge, Anarki, Tourque, Sidetrack, Bongo, Double D, Angel and H-Bomb with MCs Maestro D & Rudeboy. Whilst for the dnb massive they have none other than Aphrodite (UK) and locals MPK, Noddy, Mark 7, Patch, Fiction, Filter, Khem, C1, Harras, Safari Brothers, Skyver & D-Jon with MCs Pase and PAB. Then to recover, head to Traffic as the official Frantic recovery gets underway with the legendary Tall Paul playing an intimate club set!

Chemistry on Thur 23 Oct presents the Ministry of Sound Annual Tour featuring Junkie XL live, with an integrated sound and light show from the Dutch superstar. Locals on the night are Brendon, Kontrol, Josh and Damage.

System 6 and Traffic bring you Kevin Energy alongside DJ Weavy from Perth on Thurs 23 Oct. Expect nothing but the craziest sets from these DJs who believe performance is everything! They'll be joined by locals Odyssey, Mr S, Damage, Noddy, H-Bomb, Quantum, Submission, Devious, Anarki, ISM, Torque, Propaganda and Maestro.

On Fri 24 Oct head down to Hooligan Jam at Mojo West, as Funky J, G-Swift, Pab, and Didge get hot and funky with the best in hiphop, breaks, and UK Garage. Or if it's dnb you want, head down to Traffic and see Hive from the USA and Keaten from the UK rock it out at DJs Delight.

DJ Rees Urban of Tresor, Projex, and Subsounds fame is set to bring a bit of groove into your life as the master of techno, house and ghetto touches down in Adelaide for the first time. Playing at Minke on Fri 24 Oct alongside Jorge Watts, The Carter Bros, DJ Locki, Mark Stevens, and Sydney's DJ RIP.

Sat 25 Oct get set for the Jungle Brothers at a Break in Traffic 2. There's 3 areas of hiphop, breaks and drum and bass for your enjoyment, and the JBs will be joined by Adelaide's own Hill Top Hoods, Terra Firma, Agent 86 and Magma, with special guest from Melbourne GSAN. Also appearing on the night are Kim Dezen, Reflux, Shep, Dyems, john doe, Patch, The Activist, Noodle, Riddla, MPK, Del, Noddy, Harass, Frost, Bank C and Lachy Pender.

The Gov continues its efforts to be the best place for all types of music as they present ShoeShine Haus Party, with Amoeba playing live alongside Derek Lang busting his stuff on 3 decks, Patchwerk, Batch, and Zeus on Sat 25 Oct.

For hard house lovers, join Melbourne Bass Station icons Jason Midro and Master Kaos and locals Brendon, Dr Damage, Brett Witter, Phat Controller, DJ Woody and MC Rudeboy in the Lounge Bar St Pauls on Sat 25 Oct, but don't expect to be loungin' once the beats start crankin'!

Some Enchanted announcements: Karim, D.A.V.E the drummer, Sharkey, Mickey Finn, Mark Tyler, Solarstone, Nick Lunn, Kultcha, Amon Tobin, and Hexstatic! Yes, I can't believe there's some Ninja Tune guys coming either!!! Australian Acts include Nervous, Nu Breed, Miss Tracy, Katch (Resin Dogs), Fuzion, Superfluid live, Pendulum, Davros , Nil Vs Miss Tracy Live, Dr Willis, and Martian. And apparently this is only about a QUARTER of the line up!!!

And if you want to have the BIGGEST laugh you've had in ages, get along to Richmond Oval (the West Adelaide Footy Club) on Sun 19 Oct. Over the years Adelaide's prominent dance music personalties have put aside their musical differences to showcase their sporting prowess on the footy field. This year is no exception, and this time they are doing it for charity. If you think the Slowdown matches are funny, you ain't seen NOTHING until you see DJs, Promoters and MCs chasing a ball around the paddock after a big night... The money raised on the day will go to the Royal Adelaide Hospitals Burns Unit in light of the tragic circumstances surrounding the Bali bombing only one year ago. So get along and enjoy a day of barbeque, beats and *cough* ball skills, with a kick off around 2.30ish.
